Brittney Griner and her wife, Cherelle, have shared a heartfelt moment with the world by introducing their four-month-old son, Bash.
The couple appeared on CBS Mornings on November 26, offering a glimpse into their life as a family of three.
The touching photo shows the couple standing together, holding their son in front of his crib, with Bash dressed in skeleton pajamas and a black cap.
Cherelle shared how family photos have become a joyful team effort.
"Filled with smiles, tears, feeding, and naps," she declared to CBS.
The couple also expressed their excitement to take their first Christmas family photo together.
Griner has turned to positive developments as a focus
Griner, who welcomed Bash into the world in July, confirmed the happy news ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, revealing how becoming a mother has shifted her priorities.
"As soon as you see them, everything that you thought mattered just goes out the window," Griner explained.
Despite the challenges of balancing motherhood with her professional commitments, Griner expressed optimism, knowing that her son will understand as he grows.
The couple, who married in 2019, first announced their pregnancy in April, sharing ultrasound photos.
"#BabyGrinerComingSoon" and "#July2024," was the caption the couple used.
Their excitement continued to grow as they prepared for the arrival of their son, especially after Griner endured a torrid time when she was held indefinitely as a prisoner in Russia, accused of committing a crime in the Eastern European nation.
With tensions between the US and Russia reaching a near Cold War zenith after the 2016 Presidential Election, Griner's plight became national news.
It took an incredible diplomatic effort for her to eventually be freed, as part of a complex prisoner exchange.
Griner and Cherelle's journey into parenthood marks a new chapter in their lives, filled with love and anticipation for the future.
