Caitlin Clark couldn't help but have some fun at Indiana Fever teammate Aliyah Boston's expense after the latter came up short in the Unrivaled League final on Monday.
In the end it was Rose BC and Angel Reese who came out on top, defeating Vinyl BC 62-54 to become the first-ever champions in the league.
Before the game even tipped off, Clark knew that one of her teammates would be upset as Lexie Hull plays for Rose.
"One of them about come back angry and one happy uh oh," she wrote on Instagram.
Once the game was over, the Fever's social media team congratulate Hull on become the Unrivaled champion: "@lexiehulll and Team Rose are your first-ever @unrivaledbasketball champions congrats, Lexie!"
That's when Clark sent a message of encouragement to Boston, who came up short on the night.
"@aliyah.boston you didn't deserve this. I'm sorry," Clark wrote.
Boston was boosted by her team-mates words, responding with: "@caitlinclark 22 thanks pookie. I really needed this pick me up message from you."
Good vibes amongst the Fever players after the game
Just to show that everything was good between the Fever players after the game, Boston then sent a message to Hull - who took home $50,000 for being a member of the Unrivaled championship winner.
"Dinner on you maybe?" Boston asked Hull.
The chemistry between the three is clear for all to see, with Clark and Boston becoming a dominant force in the WNBA last season.
They all played a key role in helping the Fever make their first playoff appearance since 2016.
Clark opted not to take part in the first ever Unrivaled season despite being offered a guaranteed salary of $250,000 for the eight-week season. Instead, she decided to rest up for the new season.
As for Hull, she will have bragging rights over Boston for the near future. They'll both get back to being on the same page on May 17, when the 2025 WNBA season tips off.
