The Unrivaled League is almost here and Angel Reese is wasting no time striking up a chord with one of her teammates as the Chicago Sky star bonds with Kahleah Cooper, ahead of her debut in the competition on January 17.
The pair's back and forth on Instagram and social media has seen them go viral online after the 22-year-old Reese dubbed her 30-year-old colleague 'grandma', leading to the Phoenix Mercury to call them an "unrivaled comedic duo".
Cooper, who is old by professional athlete , then responded in a parenting manner by telling the forward to take a "timeout," jokingly telling her off for the light-hearted insult, although she found herself humbled by a WNBA legend.
Candance Parker, who played in the WNBA from 2008-2023 and won three championships, joked that Cooper is now receiving the same treatment she dished out when she appeared on the scene in 2016 as a rookie.
"Lol 'grandma' I love when Karma comes back for all them times you called me old," Parker wrote to X.com, formerly Twitter, to Cooper.
Parker, 38, retired in 2024 and has since been named president of Adidas women's basketball as well as working as a pundit.

The basketballers will compete in Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart's league alongside Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Lexie Hull and Azura Stevens until the inaugural regular season concludes on March 10. Playoffs begin on March 16.
