With a new WNBA season approaching, the Chicago Sky are beginning to fine tune their training camp.

Considering the previous season in which Angel Reese suffered a wrist injury and had to end her season, and in which the Sky finished with five losses and a 87-54 loss to the Connecticut Sun, they hope to do better this year. Following these results, Teresa Weatherspoon was fired by the Sky and Tyler Marsh was brought in to replace her.

With training camp in mind, nine days before the start of Chicago's preseason, their coach shared his excitement on his official X : "Training Camp Day 1...Need it!" he wrote.

Marsh, who was an assistant coach under Beck Hammon - San Antonio Spurs in the NBA and Las Vegas Arces in the WNBA - for the past three seasons, hopes to bring her experience and professionalism to the team.

In addition, the team's X also announced that "the girls are back in town" and accompanied the message with several postcards of the moment.

The future of Chicago Sky

To start the season, the team is expected to rely on the Reese-Cardoso duo and the vitality and accuracy of rookie Hailey Van Lith.

Chicago begins a new WNBA season on May 17, when they visit Indiana Fever. The game promises to be a high-level matchup, as they will have to face the 2024 Rookie of the Year, Caitlin Clark.
