Canelo is currently preparing for his fight this coming Saturday September 30 against Jermell Charlo. Despite this, the current great Mexican champion took the time to explain that after a strict diet during his training camp, once he finishes fighting, he gives himself some treats to recover, especially focused on food.
Pastor and sushi for Canelo Alvarez
Through a video ed to his official on the social network TikTok, Canelo did not hesitate to reveal what he likes to eat, highlighting the case of the famous tacos al pastor.
"I like to eat three things. Some tacos al pastor, that's the first thing," he said.
"Then sushi, just like that. And at the end, a beef broth. That's what I crave the most when I finish fighting."
How many more years will Canelo remain active?
In addition to this, the 33-year-old acknowledged a few days ago in an interview with the legendary Hugo Sanchez that he plans to continue putting on his gloves for at least another four years.
"From 28-29 years old, this is the age where I've felt the best," he noted.
"I've always said that 37 is a good age to enjoy what I've done with my family, other things in my career and that's what I say; but I said I would debut at 18 and I did it at 15."
A big fight at Azteca
However, Canelo warned that first he wants to organise a fight in the most important sporting venue in Mexico, the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.
"Yes, I am interested in fighting at the Azteca Stadium. I would love to have a fight before I retire at the Azteca," he said.
Meanwhile, Alvarez is preparing to fight Jermell Charlo on September 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the undisputed super middleweight title.
