- Boxing. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. accuses his father of wanting to kill him: He's a scumbag, I'm not going to let him
The boxing world is full of stars taking aim at one another as they try to build narrative and intrigue ahead of a possible fight.
Two fighters that seem to be at each other's throats right now are Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia, with Haney taking the latest swipe.
He has decided to leak a direct message from Garcia and Haney has been saying that Mayweather won't be able to help Garcia when the pair are in the ring.
Haney messaged Garcia first, saying: "Floyd can't save or help u".
Garcia's response came in capital letters and said: "CRY ME A RIVER".
Mayweather snubs Haney
Mayweather recently spoke about which three fighters he views as being the best in the business right now, and his allegiances to Garcia rather than Haney are clear.
He chose Garcia in his top three, but left out Haney, opting for Saul Canelo Alvarez and Gervonta Tank Davis instead.
Perhaps this has rangled Haney and some jealousy may be creeping in about how highly a name like Mayweather rates Garcia.
Haney's father could be a part of the problem, as according to his father, Haney's achievements in his short but successful career have even sured the great Mayweather.
In the immediacy of his latest victory, Haney's father, Bill, gave a very direct and emotional interview with iFL TV about his son's achievements.
"What Floyd didn't do at 25 years old, Devin did. This is the Devin Haney era," Bill Haney said emphatically.
"Floyd, you can keep talking about that money c**p if you want to. There is someone coming to the Mount Rushmore of boxing - and his name is Devin Haney."
