Mike Tyson is gearing up for a fight against Jake Paul that the boxing world has been gripped by, and Evander Holyfield has been sharing near-constant thoughts about the fight and his former opponent.

Tyson and Paul will be against each other on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Holyfield had an incredible rivalry with Tyson during their younger days and he perhaps knows Iron Mike as a competitor more than most.

Holyfield's prediction

He has been asked for a prediction by multiple media outlets and when talking to Fight Hub, he claimed that Tyson could 'quit' whilst in the ring if the 30-year age gap proves to have the impact that some think that it will.

"I don't know, it all depends on how Jake fights. The point of the matter is whether Jake Paul takes a good shot," Holyfield said.

"I have never seen him get hit by anybody. But you never know, Mike might just quit in the ring and sit down and say, 'I'm done'."

This will be Tyson's first professional fight since 2005 when he was beaten by Kevin McBride, and the American is going to be 58 when the fight against Paul comes around.

He had an exhibition fight in 2020 against Roy Jones Jr, but there is no getting away from the fact that his physical state will be the deciding factor.

Speaking further about the fight, Holyfield said: "I don't know how much confidence Jake Paul has, but he will be a lot quicker. If he stays close to Mike, then his chance of winning is going to be great. But if he tries to stay back from Mike, then he is going to get caught.

"Mike is like a snake. He will pop out on you, but if you charge him, you can smother him because he pushes off his legs because he is too close. If you give him room, you are going to be messed up."
