- Controversial former fighter called Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight illegal after "Iron Mike" health scare
- Multiple challengers emerge as Jake Paul's opponent amid Mike Tyson's health scare
After Mike Tyson suffered a medical emergency during a cross-country flight from Miami to Los Angeles last weekend, one UFC fighter has some thoughts that, in his mind, will help Mike Tyson on the long run but that will but the fight against Jake Paul on hold.
The former mix martial arts star, Michael Bisping talked about the health status of the former boxing champion and how it could affect his performance during the fight versus the YouTuber and influencer.
During a recent episode on his YouTube show, Bisping said that Tyson's issue on the plane is strong enough motive to cancel the fight because of his age and rigorous physical preparation for the fight.
"This is just a great example of why a fight like this should not be going ahead," Bisping commented on the encounter versus Paul. "I think the man is pushing 60, and he's got some medical problems. Maybe he just had a bit of food poisoning or had some food that just didn't agree with him, but what we do know is that he was carted off the plane by a paramedic, and they did ask for medical assistance... That's not a good look."
Is Mike Tyson's health really a concern?
Mike Tyson's "ulcer flare-up" was not categorized as severe and the legendary boxer himself called his health "great", however the boxing world was very concerned.
Jake Paul did say on social media that the fight against the 57-year-old boxer will not be put hold, therefore it is all still on schedule for July 20 at Arlington's AT&T Stadium on a live-streamed Netflix event.
With that said, everybody is still paying attention to the health of Mike Tyson considering there is still a month hand half to wait for the fight and anything can happen.
