Ever since the BMF championship match between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal, neither of their respective camps liked each other. Now that they got a chance to see each others' faces, things got heated up fast and a massive brawl was the result of it. It all took place at the Thursday presser where both fighters would speak in front of cameras. Masvidal was in a jovial mood, as he usually is. But Nate Diaz seemed angry and kept his responses to questions short. Kind of rude as well. It didn't take long for both teams to meet up where the seats are placed and chaos ensued. One of Nate Diaz's team is the one who took the first swing at Masvidal.
During the entire exchange, a man in a maroon shirt was brutally punched and kicked for a numbr of seconds. Moments after the situation colled off, people were spotted holding the man in question and trying to calm him down. It was truly a complete mess but many expected something similar to happen. It's usually problems like these that get people sued or in serious legal trouble. Ideally, it's always enforced for this to not happen. But both Masvidal and Diaz's teams are quite the rowdy bunch and get pretty wild, historically. There is an already legendary video of Jorge Masvidal lighting up Leon Edwards backstage as he was talking to a reporter. It's the Miami street life with good Jorge.
Is the Masvidal vs Diaz fight still on?
Definitely, yes. The Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz fight for July 6 is still very much scheduled simply because neither of them suffered an injury in this brawl. Nate was nowhere near his crew when it happened and Jorge was taking pictures with fans right after it all happened. To his credit, he also tried to check on the man with the maroon shirt. Although the man was still pretty pissed off, he didn't seem gravely injured past the brutal punches in the head he suffered. On second thought, that man better go to a doctor ASAP. A fight that is taking place at Inglewood's The Forum, in the state of California. That means Masvidal and his entire Miami crew is visiting Nate Diaz's Stockton and other places of the Golden State.
