Conor McGregor will not be back for Road House 2 and another famous fighter has been earmarked as his replacement in the form of Ryan Garcia. Could the controversial boxer be the perfect candidate to take over the helm of the franchise in the absence of the Irishman?

The UFC star banned his children from watching the remake of the 1980s classic before itting it was a one-and-done sort of gig, despite him enjoying the experience, meaning the franchise is hunting for a new famous face to antagonize Jake Gyllenhaal.

Well, one man who is sort of being a villain in the eyes of many is Garcia after his crazy social media posts to start 2024 were then backed up by being overweight and on PEDs against Devin Haney, which he's now capped off by being arrested in California for criminal damage.

Is this some extreme form of method acting? At the moment he seems like a great fit to portray a villain on the cinema screens, or TV screens, of the hit Amazon Prime Video film.

Well, the fight against Haney could actually be that after an Instagram claimed the 25-year old's strange antics were all a ploy to get people to bet against him whilst he backed himself to stop the Californian.

Why will McGregor not return?

It was a good payday for McGregor, who netted $5.5 million for his role as the baddie in his acting debut, and the man known for his showmanship inside the UFC did not disappoint either, earning praise for his convincing delivery.

But he won't return after thinking that the schedule was simply too much for him to handle, which is impressive considering the demands of a UFC training camp.

"It was hard work," McGregor told The Independent. "And I'm used to hard work, but the schedule was intense.

"I'm not sure if I will go through it again, but it's in the bank, it's in the history books. Money can come and go, but this film will be there forever."
