Andy Ruiz Jr. shows off awesome body ahead of Jarrell Miller fight but fans buzz with excitement

Ex-unified heavyweight champion of the world, Andy Ruiz Jr. looks great as he prepares to face Jarrell Miller on August 3 at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, with fans hooked in the potential of the Mexican-American.

Ruiz Jr., who shocked the world by defeating Anthony Joshua in 2019, hasn't fought since September 2022 when he defeated Luis Ortiz unanimous decision and the bout will be just his third since the rematch loss to AJ later that year.

So fans are buzzing with anticipation of what the ex-champion can do and they took to X.com to express their thoughts of the "powerful" Ruiz Jr.'s form after a training video was posted online showing him working in the ring.

"Powerful? Sure!! Lean?? Cmon now," one posted to X, saying Ruiz Jr. doesn't look that slim.

"Dude needs to start fighting the big dudes , Deontae [Deontay] wilder Anthony Joshua 3 etc", said another, believing Ruiz Jr. is too good to be fighting Miller.

"That one tough boxer I use to think he was a fluke but he has the skills," said a third .

Fans warn of ring rust

However, not everyone is swept up by hype as some fans took to social media to suggest the time away from the ring could brutally punish Ruiz, five years on from the moment he produced one of the biggest upsets in sports history.

"Rust is a silent killer," one posted to X.com, warning Ruiz Jr. that he might be too slow and not fluid enough, whilst forgetting some of the fundamentals, all caused by his period of relative inactivity compared to the rest of the division.
