Mike Perry is still looking forward to his boxing fight against Jake Paul this summer but he has his eyes on a much greater prize.
Perry is the man who stepped in to fight Paul when it became clear that Mike Tyson's stomach ulcers would stop him from competing in the fight that had been arranged for July with Jake Paul.
Tyson and Paul are still expected to fight each other in November, but Perry actually thinks that he could end up knocking Paul out of the contract and having another fight with Tyson with a much greater purse.
Perry's bold claim
While speaking to Demetrious Johnson on his podcast, Mike Perry insinuated: "I was gonna say you know, this Netflix deal with Mike Tyson, I mean, I feel like I knock Jake out and they'll be like, 'Hey, do you wanna fight Mike instead?'"
Perry is even willing to lay himself out there for Mike Tyson to make the 58-year-old legend look good if that's what it meant for him to get a big paycheck.
"I'll go in there and let him punch on me a little bit, man. It might be painful but, you know, I'll try to give him a good old body shot," Mike Perry further stated.
"Fighting Mike would be cool, man. If I could steal this whole thing from Jake and just it'd be me and Mike Tyson, it would just be more fitting."
