Jake Paul said he's willing to sit down with UFC CEO Dana White as long as he will increase the pay offered to the fighters of the mixed martial arts series, which was a flashpoint for them in the past.

The YouTuber-turned-pro fighter has advocated for greater salaries in the sport, and it appears that the 27-year-old has not loosened up on his willingness to call for more money to go to people risking their health in the octagon.

"There are a lot of things I respect about Dana White," Paul told media. "His politics and what he did for MMA but now it's time for him to pay his UFC fighters more. If he can agree to do that then I'm more than down to sit down and work on our relationship like men.

"At the end of the day I just want the best for the fighters."

Paul has offered solid pay days to some UFC fighters on the condition that they step into the ring against him in professional boxing, a specialist area of fighting that MMA competitors tend to fall behind in as their careers develop due to the emphasis on striking other areas.

So, the Problem Child, out of Cleveland, Ohio, has fought Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz through his budding career and has emerged victorious against all of them, although it has only earned him limited respect.

White laughs at Paul

Paul will next step into the ring to fight Mike Perry on July 20 as in interim bout to his highly controversial match-up with Iron Mike Tyson in November 2024, which had to be delayed to due medical reasons on Tyson's side.

The fight has been slammed and scoffed at for lots of reasons but namely Tyson's age of 58, whilst Paul is only 27, which is something White took a jibe at as he hit back at Paul's comments about more money for competitors.

"I love Mike and I hate talking about it because he always gets mad at me when I talk about this stuff," White said on the 'Pound 4 Pound' podcast. "When the fight happens he'll be 58 years old, it will be a 31 age difference. You know Jake Paul did fight a kid his own age and he lost.

"I saw this thing on the internet yesterday that if he beats Mike Tyson he'll fight Clint Eastwood next, Clint Eastwood is 93 years old. Jake doesn't want to be a respected fighter what Jake wants is to make money, people who follow Jake Paul don't buy Jake Paul's fights so Jake Paul has to fight people who can sell actual pay-per-views."
