Diego Pacheco vs Maciej Sulecki Fight Card: What are the must-see fights this Saturday?

The American, Diego Pacheco (21-0 | 17 KO), and the Polish, Maciej Sulecki (32-2 | 12 KO), will star in a stellar fight on the Matchboxing bill thi Saturday, August 31, with the bout taking place at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, United States.

The pair will fight for the WBO International and USWBC super middleweight titles in what promises to be a great fight. Pacheco heads into the fight as the slight favorite.

There will also be other fights you should not miss, such as the fight for the World Boxing Council (WBC) female super flyweight interim belt.

Which fights are not to be missed?

The 10-round fight between Eduardo "Sugar" Nunez and Miguel Marriaga is set to co-headline the Diego Pacheco vs. Maciej Sulecki preliminary card.

Riding a streak of 16 consecutive wins, Eduardo Nunez (26-1, 26 KOs) makes his first appearance of the year in the ring, also making his U.S. debut.

The 27-year-old Mexican super featherweight won a pair of fights in 2023 by second round knockout against Oscar Escandon in October, also beating Jesus Martin Ceyca in March.

Former three-time world title challenger Miguel Marriaga (31-7, 26 KOs) goes through the ropes for the second time in 2024 and is looking for his second straight win. The Colombian contender defeated Andres Perez by unanimous decision last time out in June.

Earlier in his career, the 37-year-old fighter came up short in his title fights against Vasiliy Lomachenko, Oscar Valdez and Nicholas Walters at junior lightweight and featherweight.

Also on the Pacheco vs Sulecki bill, an all-Mexican 10-round super bantamweight fight between WBC Continental Americas champion Arturo Popoca (14-0-1, 8 KOs) and Jesus Arechiga Valdez (21-1, 15 KOs).

Jamaican-born Brit Cheavon Clarke (9-0, 7 KOs) and Houston-based Nigerian Efetobor Apochi (12-2, 12 KOs) will also square off in a 10-round cruiserweight bout. Elsewhere, interim WBC super flyweight champion Adelaida Ruiz (16-0-1, 8 KOs) of Los Angeles will defend her title against Houston southpaw Ginny Fuchs (3-0, 1 KOs).

At the top of the prelims, Fabian Rojo (9-0, 7 KOs) of Glendale, Arizona and Mexico's Alejandro Frias Rodriguez (15-10-2 7 KOs) will square off in a six-round welterweight duel. Criztec Bazaldua (5-0 1 KOs) of Long Beach, California will face Kyle Erwin (7-2 3 KOs) of San Antonio in a six round super lightweight bout.

The first bout of the event will be a six-round bantamweight bout between Alexander Gueche (5-0 5 KOs) of Harbor City, California and David Vargas Zamora (8-4-2 5 KOs) of Mexico.

Of course, in the main event, Los Angeles, Seattle-based super middleweight Diego Pacheco (21-0 17 KOs) of Los Angeles will take on former title challenger Maciej Sulecki (32-2 12 KOs) of Poland. The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds with the WBC USA and WBO International titles on the line.
