- UFC. Dana White criticized for calling Merab Dvalishvili 'next-level-stupid' after face injury
- UFC. Conor McGregor's training partner claims he is ready to come back to action in 2024
UFC CEO Dana White is not buying a single word from Oscar de la Hoya, who managed to get tickets for Noche UFC 306 at the Las Vegas Sphere. If it was for Dana, De la Hoya wouldn't be at the event but he is the guest of Turki Alalshikh, the Riyadh Season CEO from Saudi Arabia. This event was actually put together by both companies and it promises to be a historic sporting event. If everything goes well, we could see a massive leap forward that would cement the UFC as the most important combat sports in the world. Unfortunately, there is another event that same evening that may divide combat sports fan because they will have to pick between both. For Dana White, choosing is not necessary.
Dana White seems to still hate Oscar de la Hoya
Oscar de la Hoya announced his attendance to Noche UFC 306 instead of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's fight against Edgar Berlange at T-Mobila Arena. In a bid to get that arena, Dana White lost the spot against Canelo but he still keps a good relationship and he definitely likes Alvarez far more than De la Hoya. In fact, Dana completely slanders and insults De la Hora every time he gets a chance. There is no lost love between those two yet Oscar recently issued Dana White a message while also insulting Saul 'Cancelo' Alvarez's fight with Edgar Berlanga. But Dana was there to set the record straight, he still hates Oscar.
Dana spoke to the press and confirmed Oscar is coming to the event. Saying: Well, I got that call today. He's coming with Sheikh Turki. He is part of his ticket block. I knew he wasn't part of my ticket block. That's for damn sure. Oscar (De La Hoya) does things that are good for Oscar at the moment. I'm saying that that night, we're talking about the history of Mexico and the history of the people and their traditions and the impact that they've had on combat sports. Somebody said to me, 'So you'll be celebrating Canelo that night?' Yes, we are. Canelo is a big part, he's a big part of the night. Julio Cesar Chavez, Salvador Sanchez, how are you going to do all the baddest dudes that have ever come out of Mexico and not talk about Canelo too?"
