- Boxing. 'Canelo' Alvarez delivers strong message to haters: 'I'm the best boxer'
David Faitelson was very attentive to the fight between Canelo Alvarez and Edgar Berlanga held in Las Vegas, and was blunt in stating that the Mexican has no rival, but also that he needs to change weight to face new challenges in the final part of his career.
"There is no rival for 'El Canelo' at 168 pounds. He must move up to face David Benavidez at an agreed weight or Dmitry Bivol at 175," wrote the TUDN host.
However, he was also emphatic in clarifying that the Mexican needs to knock out his opponents.
"Sixth consecutive fight without a knockout for Saul Alvarez. I think it's unfair to analyze him for that aspect, but in today's boxing, the KO is fundamental," he added.
During the fight, he also kept an eye on whether Canelo could finish the job with a knockout that didn't come.
"When 'El Canelo' wants to, this is over...", was the host's message on social networks.
