There is no secret that Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been involved in the career of both Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney, whether if it is as a friend or as someone to battle for supremacy on the ring and precisely in a direct encounter.

Garcia has much less time knowing Mayweather Jr. than Haney does, but he still likes to look up to him as role model and motivation. However, Ryan has claimed that Floyd gave up on him and to add fuel to fire, he posted footage from years ago of Haney sparring with a young Gervonta Davis at the Mayweather Gym.

This has definitely created animosity between al the boxers involved this has been the main focus of García's debacle as he lost Floyd's trust, a lot of it. Now, let's not forget that Garcia failed to meet the 140 lb weight limit before fighting Devin Haney and he had to compensate for allowing the fight to proceed.

We all know what happened, after Garcia just completely lost It after the doping situation and, according to Haney, Mayweather had something to do with the whole crazy situation.

Floyd Mayweather's involvement

Ryan Garcia claimed that Floyd Mayweather Jr. told him to attend the weight-in "over three lbs" heavier and now Devin Haney has spoken about the matter. He was a guest in an interview with undefeated world champion Andre Ward.

Ward was direct in asking if Floyd had some involvement in Garcia debacle and Haney answered in a very interesting way, saying first "I don't know," however he did add "Floyd said he didn't. That's what he said. That's his word."

Andre Ward then spoke about the Facetime screenshot of Garcia in which Mayweather allegedly made a "three-pound sign" and Haney once again struggle to give a clear answer by saying "I've seen him too." This answer seems to be very clear to many in what people now believe was something orchestrated by Floyd to cost Garcia the fight.
