Former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez did not hide his desire that his sons Julio Cesar Jr. and Omar, retire as soon as possible from boxing.

The Great Mexican Champion assured that his sons do not lack anything, and that although it is true that they can still get into the ring a few more times, they should think about retirement in a very short term.

"That's how children are, sometimes they pay more attention to their friend or the one they know than to their dad, but that's life," said Chavez in an interview with Erik Morales on the Un Round Mas channel.

After the storm, comes the calm

The boxing careers of JC Chavez's two sons have always been compared to that of their father, who is a true boxing legend in the world, and neither Julio Jr. nor Omar have even come close to the glories of their father.

In addition, both have had multiple problems outside the ring, although in recent months things seem to have calmed down.

"Right now things are beyond belief. The truth is that Julio is very well, bless God, free of any addiction, Omar too", said Chavez. "Boxing is no longer the priority, that they fight three, four or five fights and lead a clean life, that they are clean of addictions, that they are well with their children, with their wife.

"Boxing they should take it as a hobby, three, four or five fights and let's go," explained Chavez.

"My children don't need anything."

In addition, the former multi-champion of the world assured that economically his children do not lack anything, and clarified that they both have a good economic position, despite the fact that at one point Omar lost everything he had.

"Look, Julio is doing very well economically, thank God. Omar is the one who had a gambling fall and almost lost everything, he only had his house left," confessed Julio. "So that's why I put him in the clinic, because imagine, he left his mother 'bald'.

" that I left a lot of things to his mother; there is a lot of land, houses and everything so that Omar can build and live off his rents and all that. They are doing well economically, with that I can tell you everything," added Chavez.

"But leisure, they have to work it. That is why I work so hard, for my recovery, because I know what leisure is, but now I am doing well in all aspects. If I stay at home, after a while I go out drinking, that is why I prefer to be busy, from one place to another, leisure is the worst enemy of all", he concluded.
