Formula 1 and Disney announced a powerful global alliance from 2026, with which the main characters of this fantasy universe will participate in the different events that make up the top category of motorsport

To this end, the synergy will include events, immersive experiences with the characters, exclusive content and products, with the intention of connecting fans of all ages with motorsport

In a statement, both brands promised to form a unique synergy based on creativity, entertainment and innovation, both on and off the track with unforgettable experiences

While both companies have yet to give further details on their strategies, they did confirm that over the coming months they will be revealing more information on dynamics and special content that will be carried out on a global scale.

A partnership with large-scale scope

According to Emily Prazer, Formula 1's chief commercial officer, she highlighted the strategic importance of this partnership for the sport:

"Our collaboration with Disney is perfect to bring the world of Mickey & Friends to our fans and vice versa. This allows us to expand beyond sport into a wider consumer market, while at the same time introducing Disney to our 820 million followers. Both brands are renowned for breaking the mould and providing top-class entertainment."

For her part, Tasia Filippatos, president of Disney Consumer Products, also spoke about the importance of this partnership with the large US media consortium:

"This collaboration offers a unique opportunity to fuse two entertainment powerhouses and create products that will delight fans. It will be developed on a global stage with unforgettable content and experiences designed for Disney and F1 fans."

In addition, Formula 1 found this partnership at a great time, as in recent seasons it has achieved remarkable growth among young people, to the point that currently more than 4 million children between the ages of 8 and 12 have become fans of motorsport in the European Union and the United States.

While 54% of F1 followers on TikTok and 40% on Instagram are under 25, an audience that fits Disney's commercial profile.

Finally, Disney indicated that there will be more information about this alliance and its events and the appearance of the iconic characters on the tracks, through the official s @mickeymouse and @f1 from 2026.
