Ronaldinho to be honoured at the Camp Nou in August

A date for Barcelona fans to mark in their calendar has been set for August 19, with Ronaldinho due to be honoured at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona will host a friendly against a group of Blaugrana legends at the famous stadium, and Ronaldinho will be involved.

As reported by RAC1 the event will be a star-studded affair with Andrea Pirlo, Thierry Henry, Roberto Carlos, Pavel Nedved, Javier Saviola, Paolo Maldini and Diego Maradona all set to be present.

The former Gremio star represented Barcelona between 2003 and 2008 and was a catalyst for the club's rise in prominence on the European stage.

He was involved in two LaLiga Santander trumps, two Supercopa de Espana titles and one Champions League which came in 2006.

Ronaldinho remains closely linked to his former team though, as he is heavily involved in fundraising efforts with the club's foundation.
