The anti-Rosell conspiracy: Florentino, Roures, Lamela...

The anti-Rosell conspiracy: Florentino, Roures, Lamela...

Former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell spent two years in pre-trial detention in an unjust manner, as was later shown at the trial where he was acquitted of all charges against him.

The two years that Rosell lost has caused him to feel very angry about the matter.

"Yes, I feel a grudge," Rosell said in an interview with Jordi Evole of La Sexta, of which La Vanguardia had some excerpts.

"I know it's bad, but I can't help it."

In fact, Rosell wants to know who was behind his arrest and insinuated that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and Mediapro CEO Jaume Roures could have played a part.

The issue with Roures regards Barcelona's television rights.

"We sold them to Movistar and left Mediapro," Rosell noted.

"We are not friends."

The point of contention with Florentino is centred about Neymar's arrival at the Camp Nou in the summer of 2013, after Real Madrid thought they had practically sealed his g.

"He didn't like the fact that we signed Neymar," Rosell said of Florentino.

The ex-Barcelona president also noted that being Catalan didn't help him.

"It seems that, due to being Catalan, you are a criminal," he stated.

Rosell is aware that he could have been released from prison and avoided those two years of imprisonment if he had made a deal in the face of repeated denials of parole by Judge Lamela (up to 12 times).

"I would have been out immediately, but I would have lied and assumed I was a criminal," he said

"That's why I didn't agree."
