Lucas Vazquez ruled out for up to two weeks with calf injury

Lucas Vazquez is set to miss one to two weeks with a calf injury.

The Spaniard was forced to sit out Real Madrid's win over Eibar on Sunday because of the problem.

On Monday, Los Blancos confirmed the injury in a statement.

"Following the tests carried out today on our player, Lucas Vazquez, by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with a soleus muscle injury in his right leg," the statement read.

"His recovery will continue to be assessed."

As a result of the packed scheduling in LaLiga Santander, Lucas is now set to miss the next couple of matches with the injury.

Zinedine Zidane rates the 28-year-old as an important member of his squad but doesn't want to take any risks with him.
