Ivan Campo: I am sick of hearing so many falsehoods and continuous lies

Former Real Madrid defender Ivan Campo took to social media to criticise Spain's politicians for the way they have been dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

The 43-year-old has claimed that the people of Spain have been lied to in recent weeks and that the government didn't act quickly enough to tackle the outbreak.

"I am sick of hearing so many falsehoods and continuous lies from all the Spanish politicians," he posted on Twitter.

"They are giving themselves a medal, [although they] have not lifted a f*cking finger despite knowing that a global pandemic was coming and it gets worse every day due to their f*cking incoherence and incompetence."

As many as 28,572 Spanish citizens have been infected by COVID-19, which has caused 1,720 deaths according the latest data provided by the Ministry of Health.
