Kyle Burgess, a 26-year-old hiker, has survived a terrifying encounter with a cougar at a park in Utah, USA.
He was able to record the experience as he escaped, fortunately managing to do so unscathed.
While watching the video, viewers can hear Burgess made loud noises to try to scare off the animal, while he also tried walking slowly.
"Dude, I don't feel like dying today," Burgess is heard saying.
"Go with your babies."
In an interview with CBS News, he reflected on the incident in greater detail.
"You see the two cubs and one kind of runs off, but then I didn't notice mother was right there and that's when I knew it was not a good situation to be in," he explained.
