Doja Cat has expanded her tattoo collection by adding a spider design to her lower back and more intricate designs to her right hand.
She shared a series of photos on her Instagram page on June 24, showcasing the new spider tattoo on her lower back. The spider appears to be weaving a web that connects to the bat skeleton tattoo she got in May.
Among the photo series, Doja Cat also included a picture of her right hand, featuring a tattoo of an eyeball pierced by a sword. Additionally, she has designs on her middle finger and small dots near each nail.
Doja Cat credited the tattoo artist, Mr. K, and used a spider emoji in her post. On his own Instagram page, Mr. K shared the same photos, mentioning another session with Doja Cat in LA and expressing that the tattoos have healed perfectly.
The style of Doja Cat's lower back tattoo matches that of her bat tattoo-both are fine-line tattoos.
While Doja Cat didn't provide explicit meaning for her latest body art, she previously explained the significance of the skeletal bat.
"Bats often represent death in the sense of letting go of the old, and bringing in the new," she wrote back in May. "They are symbols of transition, of initiation, and the start of a new beginning."
The "new beginning" Doja Cat is anticipating may coincide with the launch of her tour. She recently announced The Scarlet Tour, her first headlining tour since 2019 and her first-ever North American arena tour. The tour is set to commence on Halloween in San Francisco, with Ice Spice and Doechii ing as ing acts alongside the performer of "Attention."
