Actor Jamie Foxx apologized for a post on social networks in which he blamed the Jews for the death of Jesus Christ and which he deleted after dozens of critics accused him of anti-Semitism.
The comment was not well received and the actor had to explain the context under which he had made his publication, but he had to apologize.
According to Foxx, the phrase he used had to do with a close friend betraying him and that was his way of venting.
"I want to apologize to the Jewish community and everyone who was offended by my posting. Now I know that my choice of words has caused offense and I am sorry. That was never my intention. To clarify, I was betrayed by a false friend and that is what I meant by 'they', nothing more. I have only love in my heart for everyone. I love and the Jewish community. My sincerest apologies to anyone who was offended. Nothing but love always, Jamie Foxx."," Foxx said on Instagram.
