Country singer Kacey Musgraves revealed she suffered a wardrobe malfunction that was picked up by viewers during her 'Saturday Night Live' appearance.

Musgraves appeared on the flagship comedy show on Saturday night with actress Sydney Sweeney to take part in one of their regular skits.

But footage from the show appears to show an accessory that was not meant to be part of her outfit for the evening, leaving Musgraves feeling horrified at her oversight.

The 35-year-old took to social media to address the fashion faux pas, itting she had forgotten to remove a white hair clip from the side of her hair before she went on stage in front of the audience.

She reposted a picture of herself during the comedy show's closing credits donning a maxi denim dress with a thigh-high slit and knee-high boots. There, the white clip could be clearly seen in her hair.

Captioning the post on X (formerly Twitter), she wrote: "The clip. I forgot to remove the clip."

It appears Musgraves' stylist left the clip in her hair as she rushed on stage to thank viewers for watching the show alongside her co-stars Sweeney, 26, and Glen Powell.

As she turned to embrace the 'Euphoria' actress, the white clip made its appearance known - much to her horror. But in the long list of wardrobe malfunctions over the years, this was certainly one of the more tame ones.

A new album on the way

Musgraves made her SNL debut on Saturday when she performed some of her hit songs 'Deeper Well' and 'Too Good to be True'.

While she may not be as big a name as some of her fellow country singers such as Taylor Swift and Dolly Parton, Musgraves has won a Grammy before. Her major-label debut album 'Same Trailer Different Park' (2013) won Best Country Album at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

The songwriter is preparing to release her 'Deeper Well' album on March 15, describing the new record as an "honest excavation of my own transformation".
