A diary by the wife of OJ Simpson reveals the horrible comments he made to her when she was pregnant with his child, before he went on to be accused of her murder nine years later in 1994 as the ex-NFL player slammed her as a "fat pig."

Simpson's relationship with Nicole Brown, who was found stabbed outside of her condo 30 years ago on June 13, was marred with well-documented examples of abuse from the footballer to her. It was so bad that she felt the only way it would end is if she became pregnant with his child, but even that didn't help.

OJ Simpson played a sick joke on reporter who asked if he killed Nicole Brown

So, as she was carrying Sydney throughout 1985, she continued to endure and survive the 6ft 1in footballer's abuse as her diary recorded him calling her "a fat pig", whilst her sister, Denise, also backed up what she wrote.

"He would always say 'You've got such a fat a-s," Denise Brown told The Life & Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, a four-part documentary. "Why don't you go on a diet?' She was pregnant. She was pregnant when he would tell her that.

Another friend of Brown, D'Anne Purcilly, revealed that Simpson did not want her to breastfeed or deliver their child vaginally as he continued to attempt to control the then-26-year-old woman.

"She said he wanted her to keep the same body she had." Purcilly added. "You can see that that was some control things that he did with her."

Despite the abuse, Brown remained with Simpson, as victims often do, and had another child with him three years later named Justin. The siblings now work in retail estate and have their own kids too, as they prefer to avoid the attention of the press 30 years after the murder of her mother.

How did Nicole Brown die?

Nicole Brown was brutally murdered outside her home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. She sustained multiple stab wounds, including a fatal incision to her neck, nearly severing her head showing whoever committed the crime was very powerful.

The attack was violent and swift, suggesting a frenzied assault that also killed her friend, Ronald Goldman, too. Their bodies were discovered by a erby when it was already far too late to save them

The high-profile nature of her death and the subsequent murder trial, which accused her ex-husband, Simpson, captured global attention, leading to widespread media coverage and public interest in the case.

Simpson was eventually acquitted criminally, but successfully sued for the death of Goldman and for battery against Brown in 1997. Simpson was ordered to pay $33.5m dollars in damages to Goldman's family and $12.5m in punitive damages to both families, whilst an extra $8.5m was added in compensatory damages to the Goldman family.
