Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have seemingly called it quits on their seven-year relationship.

The Daily Mail reported on Friday that the Coldplay frontman and the actress have ended their engagement, with a source telling the outlet that they "have accepted the relationship is over - and it's best to move on."

Rumors began to swirl when Johnson wasn't with Martin during the European part of Coldplay's 'Music of the Spheres' tour.

She was then pictured in Malibu, California earlier this month without her engagement ring. She had been wearing the ring since back in 2020, though it isn't clear when Martin proposed.

Martin and Johnson began dating in 2017 after the Coldplay frontman divorced from Gwyneth Paltrow. The two share daughter Apple, 20, and son Moses, 18.

Following a brief split, the couple reconciled in 2019, and while they kept their relationship private, Johnson did share her thoughts on Martin while discussing her depression in November 2023.

She credited him with "pulling [her] out of" a low moment.

Johnson and Paltrow are friends

During Johnson and Martin's engagement, the actress made headlines due to her close relationship with Paltrow.

The two were even seen holding hands in a photo last year.

Paltrow and Martin married in 2003 before having two children. They later "consciously uncoupled" in 2014 and finalized their divorce a year later.
