Ben Stiller almost made the dream of many fans of the Apple TV television series 'Severance' come true by trying to get former President Barack Obama to participate in a role in season 2, but something did not allow this to come to fruition.
According to RadarOnline.com, Stiller approached the former president by conventional means, in fact, it was by email and he told Jimmy Kimmel: "I didn't ask him in person, I knew someone who knew his lawyer and his lawyer said he could on the request if I wrote an email".
Obama could not 'debut' on TV
Stiller wanted Obama to lend his voice to be the voice of the Lumon building, but Obama politely declined the offer due to scheduling issues, so the role fell into the hands of Keanu Reeves, who provided what was needed for what was required
While Obama's acting career was about to begin with that offer, it is a fact that television is in his destiny, as it seems that the race to obtain his testimony after his imminent divorce from Michelle Obama, has already seen its starting flag.
The site claims that a source close to the former presidential family confided to them that "there is going to be a real race for interviews and the figures are going to be at least $10 million and that's for each one".
Everyone wants the scoop on the divorce
Among the many names already in line for an interview with either Barack or Michelle is Oprah Winfrey and many late night show hosts from various networks, who will want to have the scoop on the couple's separation.
However, and until that moment arrives, Barack Obama is in high demand, as it was also revealed that he received a whopping $1.2 million for giving three speeches on Wall Street. Thus, the painful divorce process looks like an opportunity to cash in, although neither of them may have thought of doing so in the first place.
