It was supposed to be a fairytale love story with a happy ending. Initially engaged in the early 2000s, the rise of the entertainment tabloids era played a major part in Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez ending their engagement only a few months after they were supposed to get married. It just didn't seem meant to be. Lopez moved on with Marc Anthony, as did Affleck with Jennifer Garner.
About two decades later, the relationship flame was reignited. Both divorced, Affleck and Lopez began spending time together again. That ultimately led to their second engagement, and finally their marriage during the summer of 2022. But at the start of 2024, rumors began flying. Seemingly out of nowhere, their marriage was dead before it could even take off. The drawn out divorce process lasted for almost all of 2024, culminating in January 2025.
A big reason for the process taking so long was how much money both of them make, and the assets they have, both t and separate. A big point of contention was their mansion, which was purchased by the couple in May 2023 for a whopping $60.8 million.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez slash mansion price as they look to sell quickly
Given that the couple tried to be as private as possible, many fans were left wondering what the inside of the mansion looked like, particularly after the renovation. In case any fans were wondering, it is massive and gorgeous, and it even features a basketball-tennis court combo.
According to reports, the ex-couple dropped the asking price for the mansion to slightly under $60 million. It's clear the two want to move on as quickly as possible, while also raking in some cash.
