As part of the Fitness series on Apple Music, Melanie C has prepared an exclusive gym mix with previously unreleased edits and remixes of Spice Girl to bring the energetic, euphoric disco vibe to your workouts. Drawing on her own fitness routine, she has carefully structured the mix to reflect the progression of a run: starting with a gentler warm-up, moving on to feel-good tunes to get you in the zone, and building up to stronger beats with lyrics that drive you to the finish line. The pace picks up towards the end for a final push through the tough moments.
The mix includes two exclusive and previously unreleased remixes of the Spice Girls: a Tough Love mash-up of Soulsearcher's 'Feelin' Love', the Spice Girls' 'Who Do You Think You Are', and an Orbital remix of 'Wannabe' mixed with Girls Don't Sync's 'Come Thru'. Other artists included in the mix are Sonny Fodera, Confidence Man, Nic Fanciulli, Sean Paul and a Tiesto remix of Melanie's hit 'I Turn To You'. Whether you're running, cycling, strength training or dancing on the decks, this mix is designed to keep you moving and is guaranteed to get your heart racing during January detox.

Melanie C talks about her goal with this mix...
I had so much fun putting this mix together. Music motivates me both physically and mentally when I exercise. Bringing the energy and euphoria of the nightclub to the gym, running or cycling is a game changer.
Melanie C on how she structured the mix in of energy...
I thought about how I feel when I go for a run. I wanted a softer start to warm up, with some feel-good songs to get you in the zone, and then pick up the pace with stronger beats and motivating lyrics. I've also upped the tempo a bit towards the end to give you that final push to cross the finish line.
Melanie C talks about her fitness routine and the activity for which she thinks this mix is most suitable...
It's definitely beast mode, I've tried the mix running, cycling, strength training and just dancing on the decks, really. It's not the most suitable for yoga or pilates, although it could also make those activities more interesting!
Melanie C tells us how music influences her training routine...
Music is a big part of my training regime, it picks me up if I'm not feeling great and keeps me going when it gets tough. It does that in all areas of my life, not just for exercise.
Melanie C on the two songs she loves and why they had to be included in this mix...
Being a Spice Girl means I can have a bit of fun with the mixes, opening with Soulsearcher's 'Feelin' Love' x Spice Girls' 'Who Do You Think You Are' is the perfect start for me. ESSEL, MERYLL 'Move' has also been one of my favourite songs in 2024, so it always gives me a bit of a boost when it drops.
