The Simpsons is one of the most successful and long-running TV shows that has ever been created, and one of the main factors behind its longevity is it's fortune-telling tendencies.
Past episodes of the show have, almost creepily, managed to predict real-world events that have come true way beyond when the episode in question was created.
Events such as the Coronavirus, Neymar suffering a serious injury, mutant vegetables following the Fukushima nuclear disaster and more have all come true after being loosely alluded to in episodes of The Simpsons.
The latest example could come on February 28, 2025, with the world possibly ending. Fans may hope that this is the first one that does not come true.
There is a 1998 episode of the show titled 'The Last Day of Springfield' and this is where the entire town suffers a total blackout. There are no running vehicles, there's no electricity, there are no cell phones and no nuclear power plant for Homer to go and work at.
Similarly, in a 2023 episode, Mr. Burns mentions that there will be no more energy after February 28, 2025. Fans think that with these two episodes combined, there could be some sort of major energy failure coming in the real world on February 28, 2025.
The Simpsons does it again
Recently, following the arrest of rapper Puff Daddy - now known as Diddy - many internet s have highlighted a new prediction from one of the most iconic shows in history.
In this latest theory, the case surrounding the musician has shocked the public due to the serious allegations involving celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyoncé, and Jennifer Lopez.
In season 28 of 'The Simpsons', specifically episode 12, which aired seven years ago, a party is depicted where many celebrities are dressed in white, similar to the events hosted by Puff Daddy.
In this episode, Mr. Burns and Homer Simpson attend the celebration, which also features all sorts of excesses.
