New setback for Harry in his Visa case: The judge sets a deadline for the publication of the documents

A United States judge has ordered the release of documents about Prince Harry's drugs consumption to the American public, as the Duke of Sussex faces accusations he lied on his visa application.

Consumption of drugs will generally see a person rejected from the USA, but the 40-year-old was itted despite later itting in his 2023 memoir that he consumed psychedelics prompting queries he may have been dishonest.

The father-of-two initially scored a big win when Judge Carl J. Nichols said the records should not be released to the public, but he has now reserved that decision and will allow the "maximum amount possible" to be released.

The development comes in the middle of the Heritage Foundation's legal action against the US Department of Homeland Security, as the right-wing thinktank behind Project 2025 looks for the disclosure of documents.

The decision was made on Thursday, February 13 and will officially come into effect from February 20, although the court reserves the right to "determine what portions of those materials can be produced to Heritage."

It's possible that the Prince could be deported and forced to head back to Britain if he is found to have lied, although President Donald Trump insisted he would be leaving the Duke alone.

"I'll leave him alone," Trump said of Prince Harry's situation. "He's got enough problems with his wife. She's terrible."

Why do the Republicans care?

Along with magic mushrooms, the son of King Charles III said he also consumed marijuana and cocaine before relocating to California with his family. Thus the Heritage Foundation believes he either lied or was given preferential treatment by Joe Biden's government.

The Foundation finding out the truth of the matter would be a notable political victory for the Republicans, who could set Prince Harry up as an example of Democrat corruption if he itted to the usage and was still granted entry.

U.S immigration policy prohibits individuals with drug-related offenses from entering the country or obtaining visas, even going as far as permanently banning someone from the nation. Penalties can include deportation as well as prison sentences.
