While King Charles and David Beckham smiled for cameras at London's iconic Chelsea Flower Show, their sons were making headlines of their own - thousands of miles away, and under very different circumstances.

On May 19, Prince Harry and Brooklyn Beckham came face-to-face at an intimate dinner in Montecito, California, hosted by Paramount CEO Brian Robbins and his wife, Tracy - close friends of Harry and Meghan Markle. The surprise meeting came amid high-profile tensions both young men are currently navigating within their famous families.

Sources told People magazine that the dinner wasn't organized by Harry and Meghan themselves, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were described as "kind, caring and generous" throughout the evening.

Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz were said to have "had a wonderful time," despite being noticeably absent from David Beckham's recent star-studded 50th birthday bash.

Tensions are rising on both sides of the Atlantic

Although the couple was invited, their no-show further fueled rumors of a growing rift. "They're just hurt and disappointed," one insider revealed. "The relationship is definitely not beyond repair, but things are tense."

Tension is also thick across the pond. Prince Harry remains estranged from King Charles, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment. In a May 2 interview, Harry itted that his father "won't speak" to him and expressed uncertainty about how much time they have left together.

Still, the Duke left the door open for peace: "There's no point in continuing to fight anymore."

Back in London, King Charles and Queen Camilla made a spirited appearance at the 111th Chelsea Flower Show, a springtime royal staple.

Among the blooming tributes was "Catherine's Rose," a coral-pink flower named in honor of Princess Kate Middleton's advocacy for nature and well-being - with all proceeds benefiting cancer research at The Royal Marsden, where Kate has also received treatment.

In a moment that almost felt symbolic, Charles crossed paths with David Beckham at the event. The two shared a warm exchange, seemingly unbothered by the family drama unfolding an ocean away.

As the Chelsea Flower Show dazzled with over 400 garden exhibits and drew more than 145,000 visitors, the quieter drama of strained family ties - royal and celebrity alike - continued to bloom in its own way.
