Meghan Markle's appearance in Los Angeles now has a confirmed date and location.

According to People, Prince Harry's wife will be honored on June 14 during the Night of Wonders gala at the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum.

The reason? Her hard work and commitment to empowering girls, women, and underserved communities, which goes hand in hand with the museum's goal of making science and nature accessible to everyone in Los Angeles. Other guests from local cultural and philanthropic communities are also expected to attend.

Inspired by the feeling of visiting an enchanted garden at night, the gala will feature immersive exhibits, live music, and dinner in the museum's North Garden. There, the Duchess of Sussex is expected to deliver a speech to attendees.

"We are proud to honor Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, a native Angeleno, whose work to advance community wellbeing and expand opportunity - especially for underserved communities - aligns with our equity-focused approach to developing science literacy for the next generation, including through our STEM and STEAM Pathways programs," said Lori Bettison-Varga, President and Director of the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County.

Her commitment to LA

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been living in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, since 2020, when they announced their resignation from their royal duties.

Since then, they have been seen frequently touring LA and have attended events such as the Paley Honors and the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Gala, so their appearance at this event comes as no surprise.

Meanwhile, Meghan has a more pressing celebration: her daughter Lilibet's birthday. The little girl will turn four surrounded by the love of her parents and older brother, and the family is likely to celebrate privately at their home in California, in the Montecito neighborhood of Santa Barbara.
