Lara Trump has made a strong return to the media landscape with the debut of her Fox News opinion show, My View with Lara Trump. The show, which premiered on February 22, has already gained significant attention, with her father-in-law, President Donald Trump, among her most enthusiastic ers.

Speaking with USA TODAY, Lara Trump shared insights into her new role, her goals for the show, and the possibility of securing a high-profile interview with President Trump himself.

With her focus on creating engaging discussions and reaching a wide audience, she is quickly making her mark in conservative media.

Trump has been ive

As Lara settles into her hosting role, she has big plans for the show's evolution. She revealed that President Trump has been highly ive, offering words of encouragement and even calling her to praise her performance-although she humorously itted to missing two of his calls due to a dead phone and being on a plane.

"The president thought the first episode was amazing," Lara said. "He has been my biggest cheerleader."

While President Trump has suggested that his appearance would skyrocket the show's audience, Lara has focused on building her credibility as a host first before inviting him on.

"Of course, he told me that the only way that I was going to get a huge audience is if I had him on," she laughed. "I don't want to say I've proven him wrong, but when he comes on, I guess the audience will be even bigger."

Looking ahead, Lara wants to expand the range of voices featured on My View. She expressed a desire to interview her family, saying that a segment with the entire Trump family would provide a unique opportunity to showcase their dynamic behind the scenes.

"I actually would love to do an interview with my whole family," she said. "It would be a unique opportunity to showcase how we all interact with each other. We all get along so well."

One of the biggest questions surrounding Lara's show is when, or if, former President Trump will appear. While she confirmed that nothing is officially scheduled, she hinted that an interview with the former president could happen after his 100th day back in office.

"I really wanted to establish myself in this position before having him on," she explained. "We don't have anything officially planned, but I'd love to have him on then."
