Which groups are excluded from the March 12 SSA payment?

The next round of Social Security payments will be issued on March 12, but three specific groups of beneficiaries will be excluded from this disbursement.

These are the groups that will have to wait for a different payment date in March:

  • Group 1: Retirees who began receiving Social Security before May 1997. This group already received their monthly payment on March 3.
  • Group 3: Retirees who began receiving benefits after May 1997 and have birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month. Their payment will be issued on March 19.
  • Group 4: Retirees who began receiving benefits after May 1997 and have birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month. They will receive their check on March 26.

The only eligible group for the March 12 payment is Group 2, which is made up of those who began receiving Social Security benefits after May 1997, and were born between the 1st and 10th of any month.

These beneficiaries will receive their check as scheduled, and the average Social Security payment for March 2025 is estimated to be around $1,700 dollars, although individual payments may vary depending on factors such as lifetime earnings and taxes.

Keeping track of these dates is essential for managing monthly finances and avoiding unnecessary worries about late payments.
