The income and expenses of each family depend on multiple factors, and over the last few months inflation has affected millions of people.

It is important to note that the US Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service has not announced any changes at this time and that the maximum allotments, deductions and eligibility standards for SNAP remain the same, adjusted for 2025.

These allowances recorded increases applicable in the 48 states and the District of Columbia, as well as in Hawaii, Alaska, Guam and the Virgin Islands.

Eligibility and resource allocation

According to the USDA page, the maximum allocation of SNAP benefits varies depending on location and the number of elements in each family.

Similarly, each state has its own payment schedule for benefits, which are delivered via an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, which functions like a debit or credit card.

Eligibility is based on net income (gross income minus allowable deductions) and is determined from last October and will be in effect until September 2025.
