Financial aid programs are a relief for the finances of low-income families, many of which come through the stimulus checks that emerged at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic to the finances of Americans.
In California, the pilot program of Sacramento Family First First (FFESP) economic emerged, with the mission of offering financial to 200 randomly chosen families to reduce economic inequality.
The mission of the program is to provide ongoing assistance to meet basic needs such as food, housing and childcare, needs that have become increasingly difficult for many families in the United States to afford.
Sacramento Family First will offer a monthly payment of $725 for one year, and will begin distribution in June, as part of a statewide effort to provide financial relief to low-income families from the impact of inflation.
When is the first FFESP payment?
According to the schedule published on the program's website, selected families will begin receiving monthly payments in mid-June
"Enrolled participants will receive $725 per month for 12 months (1 year). The first payment is expected to be issued on June 15, 2025, and the last on July 15, 2026," reads the FFESP website.
The FFESP is part of a strategy of economic that gained momentum during the pandemic with stimulus checks and seeks to continue assistance to low-income families, this time with a focus on child welfare.
"FFESP staff will selected applicants. If you receive a notification, it is essential to respond before the deadline," the program's official website states. Failure to do so may result in the place being allocated to someone else. If there is no response from staff by June 6, it is understood that the application was not selected.
