In an effort to reduce cases of abuse and neglect, decrease entry into foster care and improve economic and other concrete resources for families, Sacramento County in California launched the Sacramento Family First (FFESP) program, which will begin disbursing cash assistance that falls into the category of 'stimulus payment'.
How much does the FFESP grant?
The FFESP will thus provide a monthly assistance of $725 to the neediest families as part of this comprehensive strategy focused on the benefit of children and which has already defined its pilot beneficiaries in certain ZIP codes in the county that are below 200% of the federal poverty level.
The FFESP beneficiaries were chosen after their participation in a selection process that ended on Sunday, April 27 and will begin to receive their resources next June, according to information released by the program.
What are the requirements to be met?
When asked specifically if beneficiaries have to comply with anything else after this step, the answer is yes: they must their personal documentation, address, annual income and legal guardianship of a child between 0 and 5 years old.
