The findings that are currently being carried out continue to surprise all experts, such as one that has taken place recently. A group of experts has found several images of an ancient Egyptian civilization in which there are representations of the Milky Way. They were found in coffins more than 5,000 years old

Dr. Or Graur, associate professor of astrophysics at the University of Portsmouth, investigated how the Milky Way influenced the culture and religion of ancient Egypt, focusing on the sky goddess Nut. He published his study in the Journal of Astronomical History and Heritage, in which he analysed 125 representations of Nut that he found on 555 Egyptian coffins more than 5,000 years old.
A similarity to the Milky Way?
Nut is depicted as a naked woman in the shape of an arch, covered with stars or solar symbols. According to myth, Nut swallows the sun at nightfall and brings it back to the fore at dawn. However, in one of the coffins found, an unusual representation appeared: a wavy curve along her body with stars above and below her, which Gaur saw as a possible resemblance to the Milky Way.
Dr. Gaur concludes that this curve may resemble the Milky Way, specifically the Great Rift, a dark band of dust that is in space and runs through our galaxy. Similarly, the expert concluded that Nut and the Milky Way are not equivalent, as what was found could be something complementary to Nut's body, but without giving further details.
