- MLB. Ohtani sparks free agency frenzy: Angels superstar says 'it sucks to lose'
- MLB. Could Shohei Ohtani leave Los Angeles Angels during the MLB trade deadline?
It was quite recently when we discussed Shohei Ohtani's most likely destinations if he chose to leave Los Angeles Angels during the trade deadline. As the MLB All-Star week keeps going through, the Japanese phenom was recently spotted claiming he wants to win the MLB title. This was seen as a direct message to the Angels' leadership because he simply can't see options of winning where he currently plays. But if he wanted to go to a winning team, the most obvious choice wouldn't even force him to move out of the city of Los Angeles. His current Angels fans would hate him if he made this trade to the Dodgers but Shohei also knows he would have a bigger chance at winning what he wants the most.
Mookie Betts tries to shoot his shot
Another great slugger who is currently competing with Shohei Ohtani for the top home run king title is Mookie Betts. The Los Angeles Dodgers player is also at the All-Star game and he wants Shohei to consider ing his side. This is what he told the press: "He knows the Dodgers win. We win a lot. I would love for him to come to the Dodgers. I would love nothing more for him than to come to the Dodgers. But I also want him to make sure he and his family are good, make sure he does what is going to make him happy. He is going to sign for a long time, and for a lot of money. But that is not the only thing that is going to make him happy. I just want him to be happy."
The other options for Ohtani are the New York Mets, the New York Yankees, and the San Diego Padres. Those three teams are the ones who can actually pay him what he is worth and also have a chance to fight for trophies over the next decade. Having Ohtani suddenly is becoming an obsession for all the team involved. If the Dodgers are already considered favorites to win the World Series every season, imagine how favorites they will be if they manage to have both Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani on the same side.
