The Los Angeles Dodgers are still making moves before the 2024 MLB season, as they just traded a recently acquired player back in December and re-signed a fan favorite who was part of the team that won the 2020 World Series.
According to MLB.com's Juan Toribio and ESPN's Jeff an, the Dodgers just traded outfielder Manuel Margot and infielder prospect Rayne Doncon to the Minnesota Twins in exchange for Noah Miller, who plays mainly at shortstop.
Manuel Margot was traded back in December by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Dodgers alongside RHP Tyler Glasnow in exchange for prospects Jonny DeLuca, Ryan Pepiot and cash considerations, with Glasnow g a five-year contract extension worth $136.5 million, while 29-year-old Margot will become a free agent at the end of the 2024 season.
Margot played two games with the Dodgers this Spring Training in the Cactus League, going without reaching base in six plate appearances, with one strikeout.
Kiké Hernández is back in Dodger Blue
With this trade, Jeff an also reports that the Dodgers found a space in their roster and signed back super utility player Kiké Hernández, with the Puerto Rican player also breaking the news of his return to Los Angeles on his Twitter/X . The details of the deal are still unknown at this point.
Hernández was traded to the Dodgers by the Red Sox on July 2023, returning to Chavez Ravine after spending two and a half years on the East Coast with Boston. He had a .237/.289/.357 slash line last season, with 11 home runs and 61 RBIs.
