Shohei Ohtani continues to dazzle sports fans with his incredible performances for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season.
The Japanese ace was on fire all game during a recent win over the Miami Marlins, delivering one of the greatest performances MLB has seen from the plate.
When it was all said and done, Ohtani finished the game six for six with 10 RBIs, along with three HRs and two steals, becoming the first big league player to hit three homers and steal two bases in a game.
The performance also saw him become the first ever player with at least 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a season.
LeBron in awe of Ohtani
The historical importance of what Ohtani wasn't lost on fans, including one LeBron James, who commented on the performance: "THIS GUY IS UNREAL!!! WOWZERS."
One fan wrote is pecking order for the greatest athletes of our time: "Greatest athletes of our generation: 1. Curry 2. Ohtani 3. LeBron."
Another fan responded to LeBron, making it clear that the King's accomplishments are more impressive: "It's equivalent to 2013 LeBron in my opinion, but maybe slightly less impressive since you my King trump all."
Lastly, one fan wrote: "He's the LeBron of baseball."
Ohtani continues to impress
Ohtani added to his incredible season on Friday night, hitting HR No. 52 and stealing base No. 52 in the Dodgers 6-4 win over the Colorado Rockies.
The performance means Ohtani now has 122 RBI on the season, putting him fifth on the all-time Dodgers list. He's within touching distance of second, which is currently held by Matt Kemp (126 RBI).
His home run also moved him level for the most home runs hit in a single season at Dodger Stadium. Ohtani now sits at 27, the same as Cody Bellinger, who hit the mark back in 2019.
