One day after achieving the second best time ever in the 1,500 meters, with 15:24.51, only behind her world record (15:20.48), Katie Ledecky was also the protagonist in the 400 meters freestyleof the Pro Series in Fort Lauderdale, in which she won the impressive duel against the Canadian Summer McIntosh.
The Canadian led much of the race, but Ledecky kept up the pace, although she was in the slipstream for many meters, and managed to overtake her rival in the final meters to win in 3:56.81, her second best personal time and the seventh fastest ever in the distance. McIntosh was second, in 3:58.28.
As for the Spanish participation, Carles Coll stood out in the 100 breaststroke, where he was close to the podium with 1:00.51. In fact, he was beaten to the wall by McKean (1:00.40). The victory went to Petrashov (59.23) ahead of Savickas (59.72).
