Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders has never tried to hide the way in which he carries himself, it's been the exact same way since he was a pro athlete. that we are talking about one of only two stars who played both in the NFL and the MLB at the same time. The other one who can say that is Bo Jackson. Sanders knows he is a special kind of breed and he simply acts like it. It is only natural he transferred that personality to his coaching and that can someties rub people the wrong way. Currently, there is a lot of recruitment going on in college football and Sanders made it clear he only wants proven stars who want to be part of the Colorado Buffaloes program.
Amid this evident intention, there have been many recruits that have been rejected by Sanders. There have also been others who had the luxury of rejecting Coach Prime and they other programs instead.Given the current circumstances, The Athletic decided to interview multiple prospects to talk about the current programs and their respective coaches. It's was immediately evident that many recruits don't like coach Nick Saban. The Alabama coach has seven national title rings but players don't seem to like him. But one recruit said this about Sanders: "Probably (Colorado's) Deion (Sanders). It's all love though. He goes about it in his own unique way. It's not arrogance - just cockiness."
Why don't players like Nick Saban?
Amongst the reasons many high school recruits said they don't like Alabama coach Nick Saban are ignoring parents when meeting their sons. Some players stated Saban felt like a robot and other simply didn't like his vibe. Unlike Coach Prime, who is deemed cocky but in a positive light. There is a certain level of familiarity that always accompanies Deion Sanders and the players can see it. Granted, coach Saban may have all the titles and an excellent track record of taking players to the NFL. But he definitely lacks the star power Deion Sanders oozes everywhere he goes.
