Millions of Americans tune in each week to various sports shows to keep up with the weekend's action in the NFL, the NBA, the NHL, the NCAA and much more.

They expect entertainment and analysis, but they don't usually expect to see Pat McAfee feeding Nick Saban a tomahawk steak live on air.

Saban recently retired from coaching and he has transitioned into a punditry role on ESPN's College Gameday show.

Many think that Saban's serious and straightforward demeanor makes him the perfect person to work alongside the often unpredictable McAfee.

On Saturday, McAfee showed why he has this reputation, but Saban was involved too. During the show, a local steakhouse provided the entire cast with a huge and varied meal, including a massive tomahawk steak for each to sample.

McAfee decided not to just eat his meal, but he picked up the gigantic steak by the bone and offered some to Saban.

Many would have expected Saban to turn down the offer so as to not make a mess on live TV, but he leant in and took a big bite from the steak, much to everyone's surprise and enjoyment.

McAfee looked stunned that Saban had ed in like this, with even the former coach letting out a rare smirk.

Fans of the show certainly enjoyed it

"I want a show where @PatMcAfeeShow and Nick Saban do normal everyday things that Nick Saban didn't get to do that much while he was coaching. It would be like a new Seinfeld. A show about nothing but still hilarious," one fan tweeted about the friendship.

"Never in a million years would I thought I'd see a video of @PatMcAfeeShow feeding Nick Saban. This can't be real life," wrote another.
