There's a reason the Colorado Buffaloes are in the midst of a very successful 2024 college football season. Well, there are actually a few. To go along with standout performances from their star players, the program appears to have completely bought in to what Deion Sanders has been preaching as head coach of the football team.

His tenure got off a rough start last season, losing eight of their last nine games and finishing with the second-worst record in the Pac-12. But this year, the team is off to a 6-2 start, and they seem to keep getting better. The players have really started to respond to Sanders, who recently showered them with special gifts from LeBron James and The Rock.

Sanders has developed a very close bond with a lot of his players, but it's Travis Hunter who has really taken under his wing. So much so that fans have mentioned in the past he's become like a son to Sanders. It definitely looked like it in a recent video Sanders published, where him and Hunter are fishing on a lake together.

Sanders opens the video, sitting down, saying that they're having a "fish-off right here": "You can tell when folk's quiet, how it's going."

Hunter gives a snarky response, saying it's "0-0 to me". The two then continue fishing in peace.

Colorado is currently on its bye week, which has given the whole team time to relax a bit. Hunter was clearly invited to spend some of his time off with the Sanders family, and he couldn't up the opportunity.
