Quinn Ewers' career could be in serious jeopardy. Some images that went viral on social media may reveal a side of the Texas Longhorns quarterback that no one knew about, which could bring him some dire personal and professional consequences.
A practicing Christian, Ewers has always projected a clean image on and off the field. In his four-year career-one with Ohio State and the last three with Texas-Ewers has not gotten into scandals, always focused on taking his team as far as possible.
This season, the signal-caller has his Longhorns with an 8-1 record (4-1 within their conference), practically with one foot in the College Football Playoff. However, the images where he apparently asks a woman for nude photos could turn his career upside down.
What do the viral images of Ewers show?
In recent days, an X (formerly Twitter) with the handle @B1ackShcfter showed a screenshot of a series of messages that Ewers allegedly sent to a woman named Audrey. In the messages, Ewers begs the woman to send him nude photos.
"Just one pls. Just a pic, not even a vid," the player allegedly says in the first of 11 total messages he sent to the woman. "Bc I want to see your p***y," "Why, tho? Why can't you send one?" and "booty," are some of the more descriptive messages the player sends.
"Audrey" only responds to the player twice, both saying "OK," followed by a photo that cannot be seen in the screenshot.
Ewers has remained silent
So far, neither Ewers nor the university have commented on the alleged messages. However, fans and media are hoping for a quick response, especially considering that there are only three weeks left in the regular season.
If head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns' front office want to keep the team focused in the final stretch of the season, they will have to resolve this problem as soon as possible.
